Ok it's Wednesday again and although I missed last Wednesday this one is a good one. My son loves to have his Sunday morning pancakes swimming over a lake of maple syrup. His parents do not love pouring said lake down the drain every weekend! What we've done is this. Take your brand new syrup bottle and before you peel off the seal, instead, just poke a small hole in the seal instead. I used a knife but you can use the pointy tip of a corkscrew or some such utensil. Kids love pouring the syrup themselves and this way you regulate the amount they get whithout having to take away the fun. Brilliant!
